Why We Give

At Connections Church, we believe generosity is more than a moment in a service — it’s a way of life.  

When we give, we’re choosing to trust God, invest in His Kingdom, and join in what He’s doing in our church, our community, and around the world. 

Giving isn’t about losing something; it’s about partnering with God to make an eternal difference.

Scripture teaches that everything we have comes from the Lord (Psalm 24:1). 

We give because God first gave to us — generously, sacrificially, and joyfully (John 3:16). 

Throughout the Bible, giving is described as an act of worship, a reflection of our gratitude, and a sign of spiritual maturity.

Here are a few key biblical principles:

1. We Give Out of Obedience
   In the Old Testament, God instructed His people to bring the first and best — the tithe — back to Him (Malachi 3:10). In the New Testament, Jesus affirms generosity as part of following Him, teaching us to put God first in every area, including our finances (Matthew 6:19–21,33).
2. We Give Joyfully
   God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7). Giving isn’t meant to be pressured or reluctant; it’s meant to flow from a grateful heart.
3. We Give Generously
   Our giving helps the church fulfill its mission — reaching people with the message of Jesus, discipling believers, serving our community, and sending hope where it’s needed most. Every dollar becomes ministry.
4. We Give to Make a Difference
